Marya Wright is a London base illustrator. She holds a BA in illustration from Camberwell Collage of Art.

Her work has been inspired by the long days spent as a child on the Kent coast and in the surrounding nature.

Marya draws whimsical expressive animals and children's characters in memorable and often magical scenes. She hand draws all the individual elements of her illustration using a range of mark making materials. She then works digitally to produce unique illustrations creating a sense of intrigue and often with an ephemeral quality.

When she isn't drawing and making art she runs art classes for children in her home studio and schools.
She enjoys cold water swimming, snuggling with her cat and eating chocolate.
